Greg Maroney

Posted by: Jason on June 16, 2011

Greg & I have been working on his new album titled “The Spectrum Of Love” for the past few months and we put the finishing touches on it this week.

Greg decided to record this album differently than he did in the past with his others. He has a very nice rich sounding Yamaha CS 8’2″ sitting in his living room that he has always composed on but always chose to go to a studio setting to record. This time around he wanted to be able to record at his own pace and do it when the inspiration hit.  So this lead us to testing different microphone combinations and recording techniques to experiment with on his piano until we found the right sound Greg was looking for.

We started mixing most of the songs last month but Greg felt he had more to write and add to the album so we held off on finishing it until he wrote & recorded new songs to finish the collection.

“The Spectrum Of Love” has 15 great songs on it that capture Greg’s writing & playing at it’s truest & most comfortable form. Not to mention you will find a few happy accidents when mother nature decided to be a part of Greg’s music because of being set in a beautiful country valley. Which in my opinion                                                                                             added even more honestly and character into the music.

Nathan Veshecco

Posted by: Jason on June 2, 2011

On May 22nd Nathan Veshecco released a career  retrospective compilation, Plenty Of Hits In The Sea, available  exclusively at www.nathanveshecco.com as a digital download!  Featuring nearly three hours of music spanning his first decade as a recording artist (2001-2010), the Plenty Of Hits package also includes free bonus downloads, full artwork and extensive liner notes.

Most of this package highlights stand out tracks from his first four studio albums and itunes singles releases. Which i was behind the mixing board for most of.  He also recorded three brand new songs with me specifically for this compilation. As a bonus Nathan thought it would be a great idea to record a conversation between the two of us looking back on the start & continuation of his & my career to add on to the package.

Nathan & I have been working together for 10 years now and it’s a perfect example of  two creative people building a great  working relationship & friendship. Which is important to me with all the artists i work with.

Melo

Posted by: Jason on May 20, 2011

Melo (Keith Claggett) Is a young up and coming rap artist from the Harrisburg PA area.

He released his new album a few weeks ago and has been promoting himself locally and in the Miami Fl. area creating a buzz about his music.

Music started as a hobby for him then quickly became a passion.  He has only been rapping a little over a year but has quickly found his voice and sound as an artist through the process of doing this album.

Right after we finished his 1st release he decided to start writing an original song with me.  We started writing immediately and came up with a song we both felt very strong about.  I am currently producing the beat and music for it.  We plan to release it this summer.

Shannon Marsyada Trio

Posted by: Jason on April 19, 2011

I recently put the finishing touches on the mixes that I produced for Shannon and her band.  You can look for an album release sometime this summer.

For those who don’t know of Shannon yet, you will love the sincerity that comes across in her voice.  She has a unique sound that is raw and controlled all at the same time.

The Shannon Marsyada TRIO have been making waves both in NYC and here in NEPA, performing songs from the new album. They even have a song featured on the upcoming New Writers Disc compliments of the Songwriters Hall of Fame in                                                                                           New York City.

The band is comprised of singer-songwriter, Shannon Marsyada on lead vocals, keys, and a little guitar;                         Lisa Welch on vocals and bass; And Mike Marsyada on drums, and guitar.

The OK Rivals

Posted by: Jason on April 2, 2011

The OK Rivals are a 3 piece rock trio that consists of Adam Gingrich, Ben Wagner and Mike Musson. They are based out of Harrisburg and have been together since early 2010.

What they are working on now will be their 1st full length album release. The collection of songs span from ones they have been playing since they started the band and some very new songs.

These guys put out a huge sound and pack a big punch for only being 3 guys.

We recorded most of the album in a quick 2 week period and I’m currently mixing it now.

As a band they bring a high energy in your face sound to very well crafted melodic songs.

Check out more about the band here

Brian Shultz

Posted by: Jason on March 17, 2011

Brian Shultz is a singer Songwriter from Gettysburg, Pa.  Brian has played around south central and northern PA where he attended college at Lock Haven University and has branched out into the mid atlantic region of the US.  While mainly touring solo, Brian has compiled a group of musicians and friends who have all gone to school for music and have played professionally.

Brian and I have worked together doing solo/acoustic versions of his songs in the past. We started work on the new album with his band in early January.  We have been in the overdub phase and are in the process of lining up some guests to finish out the dubs and complete the recording.

Knoxx

Posted by: Jason on February 25, 2011

Knoxx (Paul Kpakiwa)  has been hard at work on his new album.

He is originally from Sierra Leone Africa but has been living in the Harrisburg area for many years.

We got hooked up by the doings of Christian Branch who I’ve done many projects with.

Christian & Paul have been writing the music  from some ideas Paul has had for many years & also writing new songs together.  Every song they come up with has a unique feel and place it takes you.

Knoxx likes to express thought through sound. From the 1st song we worked on I knew he was coming from a different place with his writing and his style. His songs come from his heart and are about his life’s travels & experiences.   For more info on Knoxx

His sessions are always a lot of fun and you never know who is going to show up and make an appearance.

On the 1st session we did we had a guest cellist (Sean Sman) & singer (Solo Jackowski)

Will Fogarty

Posted by: Jason on February 11, 2011

Will Fogarty recently came in to work on a few new songs that he just wrote and wanted to get down.

He is based out of the L.A. area right now and has played at such places as the Viper Room & Lost Soul’s cafe.

We have done work together in the past when he is in the area. So it wasn’t a surprise when i got his call about laying some songs down.

Will is currently writing new material intended for an upcoming album release.

Here is one of Will’s videos you can check out below.

The Black Saxons

Posted by: Jason on February 3, 2011

We are currently putting the finishing touches on the band’s 1st release titled “Disaster!”

This album is full of straight up edgy rock n’ roll.  The band has a way of mixing old punk, experimental garage rock & classic rock together for a blend of good fun catchy upbeat songs with tons of energy.

We did this album fast…. all within 4 days of total work.  There was a very spontaneous & raucous feel from the band that was great to capture.

It was a pleasure  working with everyone in the band and a very fun project to be a part of.

The Black Saxons are a very new up & coming band that started to make waves locally since they have been together as of November 2010.   They have a handful of shows coming up if you want to check them out live…………  for dates & more info on the Black Saxons

Phil Connelly

I got to work with Phil over Christmas break. He is currently working on an album in California with his band but wanted to come in to do some vocals with me when he was in the area.

We were a bit limited on time trying to make our schedules work together but we got 2 sessions in and lead vocals done on a bunch of songs.
